Introduction

SIPDP-3D is a software package for 3D simulations of Plasma Display Panel discharge cells.

SIPDP-3D is a 3D version of the popular 2D PDP simulator SIPDP-AC developed by Kinema Software.

SIPDP-3D can be used to simulate the plasma and discharge formation in coplanar or matrix plasma display panels.

SIPDP-3D's user-friendly interface makes it very easy to study different electrode shapes and configurations, cell dimensions, gas mixtures and pressures and  voltage waveforms. The interface and the optimization of the numerical solution technique makes SIPDP-3D an excellent and efficient tool for education and research as well as for optimization of industrial plasma display panels.

The simulation in SIPDP-3D is based on solutions of equations for electron and ion transport coupled with Poisson's equation for the electric field. Realistic driving voltages sequences can be applied to the electrodes of the simulated cell(s).

This version of SIPDP-3D is a Windows version.  It is compatible with Windows 95/98/NT/2000, and it can be ported on UNIX systems.
