This option is used to change the name of the working directory, i.e. the directory where input and output files will be created.
This is a standard Windows Dialog.
This is to define the default names of the input and output files.
The Gas Parameter File (gaspar.dat is the standard name of this file) contains the transport parameter (mobility, ionization coefficients etc...) which are used as input. By default the gaspar.dat file must be in the C:\SIGLO-WIN\SIPDP-3D\DATA directory. Gaspar.dat is distributed with the SIGLO software packages; this file can be modified as desired by the user to include gas mixtures not already in the default data base.
The conditions of calculations are stored in the Input Data File (ini3d.inp is the standard name). SIPDP-3D looks for this file in the data directory and reads the conditions of calculations. These conditions can be modified in the menu option DATA of the Main Menu (see below). If the Input Data File does not exist, it is created by SIPDP-3D according to the parameters input in the dialog boxes.
The data concerning the geometry of the simulated PDP cell (grid, position of electrodes, dielectric layers, ...) are stored in the Geometry File geo3d.out.
Some results of the calculations are stored in the Result File (res3d.out is the standard name). This file is read at the beginning of the execution if the user wants to continue a previous calculations (with results stored in res3d.out)
The geo3d.out and res3d.out can be stored in Binary or ASCII format (binary is the default and recommended format)

The name and location of the Data directory (where the Gas Parameter File is stored) and Help directory can be modified in this dialog box.
The user can also choose the working directory where the program will start by default. It can be the last used directory, or the directory C:\SIGLO-WIN\SIPDP-3D\RUN . The user can also decide in this dialog whether the program will use default color settings and palette for the graphics windows, or the values used the last time SIPDP-3D was run..
